Some one has posted that the wife of one of the Spencer progenitors was Murella, the daughter of Richard II, the 4th Duke of Normandy and grandfather of William the Conqueror. I have yet to attempt any proof of this and am curious as to whether anyone else has. Everyone can use a little bit of the crown heads of Europe in his/her family tree!
