Most of my data comes from "Genealogical Record of the Redfield Family in the United States", by John Howard Redfield (1860), and he does not state the location of the marriage. In the bio of Theophilus, there is no indication that he left Connecticut for that marriage, so I would suggest that NY info is in error. How I came by it I don't know, but I'll be digging into my files this weekend to try to find out. I strive for accuracy, but it sure looks like I didn't dodge a bullet on that one. Ray
