Charlene, Please correct me if I am wrong, but it sounds as if you have a Johnson genealogy book that is pretty up to date - true? If that is the case would you be able to answer a question for me? I'm researching John C. Reed and his descendants of Durham, Middlesex Co., CT and one of the family records says that John married a Rebecca Johnston/Johnson of Branford around 1785-95. Do you have any suggestions or information to share? This is one of those "family stories" that has no substantiation in the records that I am able to find, but so much has proven to be true I'm not ready to ignore it yet.
