My "brick wall" is definitely in CT. Most likely Middlesex County. James C. Bowe was born in CT in 1798. The next news I have of him is his marriage to Sarah Day McCahan in Botetourt Co., VA on 09 Sep 1814. There was a James Bow listed in the 1810 census of Middlesex Co in Durham p.225.
