    1. [CTMID] Burnhams of East Haddam
    2. I saw a previous recent posting about Eddy Burnham, and replied there was at least one listing for him in the E.H. land record indexes. Now I see another posting. I am under the impression that, with the exception of Jacob, Nathan, and Joshua Burnham, the other Burnhams of E.H. all lived closer to the Connecticut River (west side) than they did to the Salem Town line (east side). The three mentioned lived in the S.E. part of the town, south of Crowley Corner and east of Eight Mile River. I know of a "David" Burnham who moved from E.H. to Colchester around 1783, and knowing where the other Burnhams lived could be helpful in properly identifying the seller, John Rogers. Were the Burnhams perhaps involved with the members of the family of Thomas Rogers, who lived around 1760 between the first and second land divisions of the town? Any comments welcomed. - Jim Rogers
