Hall, was born in Connecticut about 1786. He probably married in CT., to Nancy Arnold (b.ca.1787, CT), and had children (birth order and places of birth not certain): Nancy E. b.1807; Joseph; Abner; Elvira; Frederick; Chauncey C. b.1818; Harvey A. b.1820; Charles; and Harrison P. b.1824. The family removed to Herkimer co, NY; Boonville, Oneida co., NY; Aurora, Erie County, NY, and Leon/Conewango, Cattaraugus county, NY. Joseph died 19 April 1854, and Nancy died in 1856, and they are buried in Leon, NY. Their son Harvey is my second great grandfather. Recent information leads me to believe Nancy may be the daughter of Apollos and Lucy (Bill?) Arnold who lived in Chatham, Middlesex County in 1790 and 1800. Joseph may be connected to Ebenezer and Gideon Hall who lived in Chatham at the same time. There was an Abner in Chatham in 1800 as well, which is a name Joseph and Nancy gave to one of their sons. Lucy Bill, Aug. 12, 1784, page 154 I didn't find any mention of Joseph Hall in the Chatham Barbour Collection that would match your Joseph. The only one was born Aug. 21, 1789 and I believe that he married Mary Prior in 1810.
