However, I ran across your queries about our great-great-great-great grandparents namely Asa and Hannah Randall. Here's information that my Aunt Charlotte (Randall) Melter found: Asa N. Randall (b 6/1/1769 in Sandgate, Vermont, d 7/1/1827) and Hannah Baldwin (b 4/29/1792 and d 9/17/1861. Hannah's parents are Daniel and Abigail Northrup. Their children are: -- Walter, b 4/9/1793; Sandgate's town clerk in 1834 until 1860, not sure who he married. -- Flora, b 8/16/1794; married George Smith or possibly never married and died in 1814. -- Levi, b 11/18/1799; married Anna Hurd; remarried who? when? -- Norman, b 12/1/1805 d 10/22/1883 (my great-great-great grandfather) -- Sophia, b 4/2/1810 Norman Randall married Experience "Speedy" Hurd on 9/3/1829 (She died 1/5/1884 and I believe was Anna Hurd's sister.) Their children are: -- Levi Randall, b 4/28/1831, d 1/6/1916; married Catherine Craig on 1/1/1854 (children are Truman, Mart, Sam, Albert, Mary, and Josephine) -- Thomas, b 6/18/1834, d 5/26/1899; married Milly (Permila??) Pound 2/22/1857 (she died 10/6/1912) (Children are Della A., Frank B. who died in Blue River, WI on 8/30/1941, Murray died 4/14/1862, Marcus died in infancy 6/24/1868, Homer b 9/1875, Lee W. b 11/4/1871 in Avoca, WI, and Elmer who died in infancy.) -- Asa N., b 8/31/1836, d 11/1/1924 (my great-great grandfather) -- Orissa, b 4/3/1940, d 8/22/1926; married Larkin Higgins 10/3/1853 (Children are Willie b 8/28/1859, Charley b 6/13/1865 and Alta b 12/15/1873) -- Calvin, b 3/22/1842, d 10/16/1863 Natchez, TN; during the Civil War, I think. -- Martha, b 12/23/1844, d 1/1926; married Edgar Haskins 4/15/1865 -- Angeline, b 1/5/1849, d 5/4/1864; never married -- Rosalia, b 4/5/1851, d 1/15/1906; married Orange Pound on 6/18/1871 (she died 6/4/1938) (children are Leroy, b 5/1873, d 2/10/1943; and Leonard died in infancy) -- Jonathan, b 7/26/1853, d 6/24/1920; married Rhoda Pound on 5/3/1874 (Children are Lela M., Blanche G., child died at birth; and Elsie who died 6/1940) Asa N. married Martha Pound (b 7/12/1838; d 5/22/1906) on 9/20/1857 in Steuben County, NY Their children are: -- Henry A., b 10/17/1859; married Elizabeth Kenzie 2/13/1888 (children are: Clarence b 11/14/1891; child born/died 11/16/1893; Robert K., b 12/26/1896; Francis E. b 6/19/1902 in Blue River, WI -- Walter Jay, b 3/31/1862 (my great grandfather) -- Alice A., b 6/30/1986; d 1/3/1940; married Edger J. Purdy (b 1/23/1861, d 5/21/1923) on 12/31/1885 -- Minnie M., b 11/3/1866; d 11/5/1939; married Elmer E. Drew 11/25/1888 -- Mary L., b 3/12/1869; d 7/24/1869; never married. -- Grace M., b 7/4/1871; d 8/15/1948 -- Alfred A., b 7/30/1875; married Winifred Underwood 9/6/1903 (children are Glenwood G., and Clarence L.) [My husband's cousin, Steve Harris married Jane Randall, granddaugher of Glenwood G. in Boscobel, WI. Steve's parents are Arnold and Lucinda (Hubanks) Harris who still live in Boscobel. Jane's brother, Steve Randall, played on the UW-Madison baseball team in the 1970s.] -- Ralph D., b 3/13/1881; married Tille Kopps 10/24/1905 (died 3/9/1907). Ralph remarried Edell Rubado 11/22/1927. All of Asa and Martha's children were born in Pulaski area of Iowa County, Wisconsin (Avoca, Blue River, Muscoda, Fennimore which are in southwest Wisconsin near the Mississippi River). Walter J. Randall married Carrie Wallace on 5/18/1884 (she died 6/7 or 8/1890). Walter J. and Carrie's children are: -- Burnett, b 8/30/1884, married Maime McClusky on 2/3/1907. -- Alnett, 3/9/1886, married Louie Zimmerman 8/13/1901 (children are Bernice b 11/25/1901 and Lucile b 7/3/1907) -- Joseph, b 7/24/1888; married Ella Dietert 5/25/1910 (child Kenneth Francis b 3/11/1911, d 12/28/1990; Kenneth married Hilda Lowe 9/10/1934) -- Harry James, b 11/24/1889, d 11/1966;(my grandfather; married Inez Finney about 1910) My grandmother had a twin sister, Edna, who married Clarence Femrite. There's Femrite Drive in Madison/Monona, WI that used to be the family farm. My third cousins and their families still live on and near Femrite Drive. Walter remarried Nell Ward (b 5/9/1869, d 1/26/1948) on 9/10/1902; their adopted child was Frank from Plain, WI. -- Harry J. and Inez' children are: -- Evelyn Grace, b 11/19/1911, d 12/2001; married Marshall Wiley (children are: Marsha May, Evelyn Jean, Mary Elizabeth, and Randall Alexander Wiley) -- Irma Lorain, b 4/26/1913, d 1980 approx.; married Curtis Brauhn. (children are: Peter Duane, Stephen (deceased) and Philip (deceased)). -- Charlotte May, b 2/16/1916, lives in California with husband, Joseph Melter. Charlotte married Pasquale Siano/divorced in 1947; one child named Cristine b 1944-lives in Janesville, WI as Cris Olson; remarried Joseph Melter (children are Marci, Cynthia and Julie.) -- Blanche Leon, b 8/20/1918; d 1961. married Edward Tallard d 1990, children are Terry, Gary and Pamela; Pam lives in Madison, WI. -- Harry James Randall, Jr. b 10/31/19 (my father) married Pearle Amble in Fort Dix, NJ on 3/10/1943; Dad died on April 23, 1996; mother living in Cottage Grove, WI. (Children are: Harry J. Randall, III married Susan Isme in 1969, Sue Ann L. (Randall) [Stein] Hubanks, married Dennis Stein 1971/divorced 1975, one child, Jennica Lee Stein; remarried Mark on 7/9/1982; and Kevin Carl Randall married Patricia Bayer Nov. 2001. -- Wallace Kenyon, b 6/2/1922; d 2000 in Golden, Colorado; married Nenda J. Curyea; Nenda lives in a nursing home in Golden, CO near my cousin Rene (Randall)Bernstein of Morrison, CO. -- Lois Fay b 7/30/1925; lives in southwest Wisconsin; married John J. Fields. (children are: Jeffrey, James and Patricia who married James Troia in Madison, WI). -- Joyce Fideila, b/ 4/26/1927; lives in Madison, WI on Daffodil Lane; married Richard Hanson, Sr. who died during the late 1980s. -- Inez Arlean, b 12/30/1935, d 2001; married Richard Woods; lived in Colorado Springs, CO. (children are Diane and Linda (married Henry D. Baca) still living in Colorado Spring, CO). Aunt Inez (named after Grandma Inez Finney Randall) died in January 2001. -- Kay Douglas, b 5/11/1935; lives in Middleton, WI; married Sherrill Butts in 1960s.
