Surnames: Wright, Whittlesey, Large Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/xY.2ADI/474.3 Message Board Post: Joe, I went digging yesterday and found out some info for you. According to the Saybrook Vital Records, James Wright was born on 7 December 1701 to James and Sarah Wright. He was married to Temperance Whittlesey on 4 January 1722 (she was born on 30 August 1703 to John and Hannah Large [widow] Whittlesey). They only had one child: James, who was born on 28 July 1723. There is another source entitled The Wrights of Wright Street, Volume 1, that I used. There is a typed note that I photocopied from the back of the book that refers to also refers to George Wright, son of James and Temperance Wright in church records in Westbrook, which was part of Saybrook then. The two specific towns you might want to check into are Deep River and Westbrook, as James, James Junior and Temperance are mentioned there. There were other James Wrights around that time, but I went by the actual years that you had. Let me know if you need any more info!

Column of the "Boston Transcript" 1906-1941, which has data for the New England area for the period 1600-1800? There is a reference in the AGBI for Charles Davis, born 175? . The reference says he was born in NY, but he lived in Chatham, Middlesex, CT. He married Anna Pelton abt. 1754 and had 4 children, Buckley, 1775, Charles, 1776, Sarah, 1778 and Anna, 1780. I am looking for information on his place of birth and parents. Also, I haven't been able to find the burial site of Anna Pelton Davis (1757-1780). Any information will be greatly appreciated. Please let me know if any costs will be incurred for research, copies and postage?

I especially need the parents of Judith as well as William. Tradition says William born in Glasgow, Scotland. Estimated birthdate would be about 1705.
