Hi Jane, I am interested in what information that you may have on Richard Smith and Rebecca Buswell and her parents. I have the following note that I found in NEHGR 128, pg. 136-139: The Richard Smith that married Rebecca Keyes (or Buswell) was bapt. Nov. 16,1595 and was the son of John and Alice (Walker) Smith. Both were grandsons of William and Alice (Watson)(Savage) Smith. I need to take another look at this to see if I can understand this. Hello to all, There has been some debate for some time over the lineage of Richard Church of Hartford, CT. The corrupt Gustav Anjou has given us lines that are without valid proof and his work remains perpetuated today through LDS files, etc. I am collecting source material that has been used to verify any connections in this line from Richard on back and would greatly appreciate anyone on this list with this Church line sending me a list of their sources used for their records. If anyone knows of recent discoveries and work being done on this line I would like to know of that, also. Levi Watson Clark was b abt 1835 in Middletown, eldest child of Seth and Julia (Clark) Clark of Middletown CT. He m Mary E Clark in Middletown 13Aug1854. I have a copy of a letter to his mother dated March 31st 1857 from Wabaunsee KT from the handwriting, but mentions "heer I am knocking about in the rich fertile planes of Kansas." From the general tone I think his wife died as he mentions "wommen are as scarce out heer as White Cows...". Intend to do 1860 census when I can get to a facility.
