    1. Roll Call - STERLING
    2. Tony & Linda Kmiecik
    3. Seeking information on marriage of Daniel STERLING and Demas/Demaris (MORSE/MOSS/??) on 17 Feb 1763 in East Haddam. Supposedly not found in vital records. IGI listing, based on LDS patron marriage entry submitted by an LDS member, gives marriage location as "2nd Ch. E. Haddam, Conn". Does anyone know what church this is and if their records are available on film or elsewhere? Also seeking marriage, probably in 1790s, of their son James STERLING to a Mary -----. James moved on to NY, probably Chenango Co. in late 1790s, and by 1818 was in Athens Co., OH.

    1. CLARK, STEWART, WARNER CT>NY>PA>MI
    2. I am looking for information on my recently discovered ancestors: I will list what I know for certain and then give infomation on previous succeeding generations: My gggg Grandparents were: Marvin S. STEWART b. ca. 1790 in East Haddam CT. I do not know who his parents were, or much more about his early life, other than he served in a CT militia during the War of 1812. Marvin STEWART married Mehitable CLARK in East Haddam CT in 1812. Mehitable CLARK was born, ca. 1794 and I have a family group shet from a a Steuben Co. NY and an Ohio researcher, that he parents were: Sterlin CLARK and Sarah WARNER. I have checked IGI and have additional leads, only on the CLARK faily; Sterlin CLARKS parents were: Sterlin CLARK and Sarah? and his parents were: Samuel CLARK - again, from IGI. The next information that I know of the these folks is from ca. 1820s, they were in Steuben Co. NY. Husband: Sterling CLARK(E) Wife: Sarah WARNER Birth: 6 Mar 1769 Place: East Haddam, Town of Haddam, CT Death: 5 Jul 1855 Children... 1. F Child: Mehitable CLARK(E) Birth: Circa 1794 Death: Circa 1864 Spouse: Marvin S. STEWART A daughter of Marvin Stewart and Mehitable CLARK; Sarah Ann Stewart, married Samuel Wheaton, they were my ggg Grandparents. Marvin Stewart, his wife Mehitable, and some of his children moved to PA, and Srah Ann Stewart stayed in Steuben Co. with her husband, as did another daughter. I recall reading somewhere that the CLARKs of East Haddam were some of the earliest settlers of the town and some of that family moved to PA. Perhaps my 5th great grandparents moved to be near they PA CLARK realtives. Mehitable CLARK died in PA and her husband and at least one son, Gilbert moved to MI and Marvin STEWART is supposed to have died in Benona MI, ca. 1884. Below is an descendant report. I hope to learn more about these folks and I look forward to sharing with you. Any information, and/or suggestions will be appreciated. Thank you. 1. 2. Hi folks...after a few years of doing no real research I went to the State Library in Hartford (about an hour from my house) and looked up Gladding. I did not find what I wanted but the truth I may have found something if I had had time to look into census records and the like. Anyway..I am stuck..I cannot find a thing. What I have Is Anna Gladding...her birth was not recorded but was some time between 1767 and 1790. She may be the daughter of Azariah Gladding and Ann Hudson. Any help would be appreciated. The only clue I have as to town is Farmington...but really have no clue. Thanks so much Mary

    1. LEE, SCHULTZ, WEIDEMIER, DONAHUE, WINKEL, ZEISER, DUNNE, ADAMS, MURRAY, GARFIELD
    2. Karen L. Todd
    3. Hi Jane, You're right, this list has been so quiet I thought no one subscribed to it. The above list of names are all related to my father's line LEE. I have not been able to find a marriage record for my grandfather Jabez LEE and Louise WEIDEMIER. Jabez orginally came from Meriden, Louise from Cromwell. I think they married around 1896. I'm also looking for the marriage of WIlliam P. BROWN and Julie WEIDEMIER both of Cromwell in about 1907. Looking for the marriage of Frank SCHULTZ and Amerlia Budde PERKINS. Married July 17, 1867. Was told it was in Middletown but record not found there. Looking for marriage of Elizabeth SCHULTZ and Hugh MURRAY. No idea for a date. She was born about 1852. Looking for marriage of Caroline SCHULTZ and Frederick ADAMS. No idea of date. She was born about 1853. Looking for marriage of Augusta SCHULTZ and Joseph SCHILLING. Married September 23, 1889. Looking for marriage of Mary SCHULTZ and Frederick WINKEL about 1867. WEIDEMIER and SCHULTZ are my direct line back from my father, Wesley LEE born in Cromwell 1915. SCHULTZs married WINKEL, ZEISER, ADAMS, MURRAY, PERKINS, WEIDEMIER, SCHILLING, George James SMITH WINKELs married DONAHUE, BROWN ZEISERs married GARFIELD, DUNNE Most of the SCHULTZs belonged to St. John's Church in Middletown and then to St. John's in Cromwell. Would love to hear from anyone who might have a connection. Karen LEE Todd in sunny, cool Montana
