    3. Thank you Mark! We live in the State of Michigan, but I can check this out long distance........as its good lead! I found the Barbour Collection online MANY thanks to Jane.....And yet we have another question: There is a Volume IX of the Barbour Collection that contains records from Durham from 1708-1852 does this book contain the same information as is currently online? If not, is there someone who can look into the index in that particular volume to see if any information is listed in this book relative to Allen/Hannah Stevens? Thanks........and we keep on diggin! 3. Just wanted to get a quick request for help into the Stevens discussion. I am stuck at Reuben Stevens (born ca. 1792, location unknown) living in Middlefield in the 1820s and 30s. A biography of William states that Reuben was "of English origin." Reuben was a carpenter/joiner, and framed the Congregational parsonage in Middlefield (still in use). He moved with his wife Rebecca Ives (Meriden family) to Western Star, Medina County, Ohio ca. 1838 with children Antoinette, Cornelia, Fidelia, Henry, Lucinda, Maria, and William. Any info on the origin of Reuben would be appreciated. Does not seem to fit the Reuben Stevens' in Killingworth. Dan Stevens [email protected] --

    2. > Okey-doke. Looks like it'll be a while before they get to the W's. :-( Given the level of research that the team putting them together is doing, it probably will take a while - just remember how many people came in Winthrop's ships alone. But they're took this type of book to a whole new level and setting a bench-mark for research and documentation that's nothing short of great in The Great Migration Begins!.. I only have a few ancestors covered in the first phase - up through 1633 - but the data I was able to glean really helped. I wonder if anyone on the list has the first two volumes and could give us a mini-review? Jane

Membership is something like $60 a year and includes 4 issues of the register, 5 or 6 issues of New England Ancestors [a really neat magazine that replaced Nexus], and other goodies like discounts on NEHGS published books and a lending library.
