    1. [CTMID] Bulkeley / Whitmore
    2. Hello, I am working on the following family who were married in East Haddam, Connecticut in 1824: "1 January 1824 East Haddam CT - James Bulkeley (of Waterford [presumably CT]) and Adelia A. Whitmore (of East Haddam) by the Rev. Isaac Parsons" I found them listed in the 1850 Census of New York City: Jas Bulkeley 51 M Conn Coachmaker (difficult to read) Adelia Do 48 F Vermont Jas Do 23 M Ct clerk Elias Do 21 M Ct mason [my g-g-grandfather] Adelaide Do 17 F Ct Elbertine Do 15 F NY I would really like to know if anyone on the list is either related to this family, or knows the parents of Adelia A. Whitmore. Since she was married in 1824 and lived in East Haddam at the time, I am also hoping that someone could help by looking for Whitmores in East Haddam in the 1820 Connecticut Census. I do not have ready access to this, and would really appreciate it! Please email me off-list if you have additional information. I've been attempting to locate this family for many years, and the above information is a breakthrough. Now, with genealogy in my blood, I'd love to go back further (of course!). Best regards, David Kane Nashville TN

A few years back I found a great biography on the Pecks that helped me establish Mehetable's line. Nathaniel and Mehetable are supposed buried in Ontario County, New York same site as one of his sons and daughter. Wish I knew more.
