    2. If you are not from the area, but are interested in the homestead, I could possibly take a picture of the home (if the owner's don't mind) if you know the address on Cole's Road (it is around the corner from me). I could download the picture to you off-list if you are interested. Pete Hanson Cromwell, CT

Her sisters were Maria and Margaret. My father remembers those two great-aunts, one skinny, one fat, and both still quite spry in their 80s. I will pursue this vigorously. I''ll bet the other Costellos are William's brother and his family, and I'd guess their name was transcribed incorrectly in this census. Thank you immensely. New clues!

Nellie Costello had married by 1907, to Michael Joseph Byrnes. They are listed in the 1920 census for Cromwell, CT under Byrnes with their seven children. I'm trying to get her family of origin, mother, father, etc. They should turn up in the CT census for 1900 (she would be 21 then), or even for 1880 (1 year old) or 1890 (11 years old) presumably with a good Irish gaggle of with siblings, among them sisters Maria and Margaret, parents' names unknown. 2. Patrick MCINTYRE was born in 1835 in County Cavan, Ireland. Possible brother John McIntyre, and possible sister Bridget Leary. John (living in Cromwell, CT in 1860) is godfather to Patrick's daughter Katherine. Bridget, buried nearby, was from County Cavan according to her headstone and 1883 Census, her death certificate states her maiden name to be McIntyre (mother's last name was Lamb), Cromwell land records show James and Bridget Leary living next door to Patrick and Catherine, and Frances Leary was godparent to James McIntyre. Patrick MCINTYRE was married to Catherine DELANEY on 11 Jun 1858 in St. John's Chruch, Middletown, CT. Catherine DELANEY was born in 1836 in County Queens/Leix, Ireland. She died in 1878 in Middletown, Middlesex Co, CT. Patrick MCINTYRE and Catherine DELANEY had the following children: Julia MCINTYRE, Katherine MCINTYRE, Mary MCINTYRE, John W. MCINTYRE, William Thomas MCINTYRE, James Edward MCINTYRE, Frank MCINTYRE, and Martin Matthew MCINTYRE. Patrick was married to Sarah DELANEY (Catherine's sister?) in 1883 in St. John's Chruch, Cromwell, CT. For the most part, the family remained in Cromwell, Middlesex, CT. I have information on the children of Patrick and Catherine, but looking for Irish ancestry of P&C. Also looking for any "cousins". Pete Hanson Cromwell, CT

Only info I have on her are the names of two sisters, Maria and Margaret. Supposedly this home was in the Costello family for 100 years.

    2. Re: Daniel Fox's line, it looks like someone might be interested in obtaining the LDS microfilmed copy of: William F. Fox, "The Descendents of William Fox of Concord Massachusetts." (J.B. Lyon Company Printers, Albany, 1909, 56 pages) The author was also descended through Daniel Fox, and that was the focus of his work. It appears authoritative, but be careful in accepting it at face value. I found an error in relation to the neighbor of my Rogers ancestors. A Thomas Fox (Wife: Margaret, and two kids) was listed as member of both the 2nd and 3rd generations (pp. 35, 37). Kinda hard to do! And a Mary Fox, wife of Samuel Borden, appears to be mentioned as a daughter of two different Fox families as well (pp. 38, 40). Anyway, it could be useful as a roadmap, to check and verify your key data. Hope that helps some. - Jim Rogers p.s. - This also shows why queries should well identify the people in question. It's a good thing Daniel Fox was mentioned. I would have skipped right over an Allen or Hubbard Fox, but happened to know about Daniel Fox and the published genealogy!
