    1. RE: [CTMID] Help With Chatham Ministers
    2. Preston Arnold
    3. Rev. Joel West was a pastor of the Congregational Church of East Hampton (Chatham), CT. Source of information: The 150th Anniversary 1748-1898 of The Congregational Church of East Hampton (Chatham), Conn. Pages 98 & 99 of that book contain the records he kept of the births, marriages, etc. of some of my ancestors that were not recorded in the Barbour Collection. Hope that helps. Can anyone find out the names of their parents, children, siblings? This info may have come from a book. Sorry, I do not have the name of the book, but if anyone can help it would be much appreciated.

Did this James WRIGHT marry a Hannah WRIGHT or Hannah BURRUS? I got an e-mail from someone recently who said that James (son of James and Submit) died 7/26/1762. In the copy of the Barbour Vital Records that I got off the internet it has a James WRIGHT d. 7/6/1762 (it is either the 6th or 26th) and another James WRIGHT (son of James and Temperance, but this must be an error as he was the son of James and Submit (BUELL) WRIGHT) b. 7/26/1762 (must of meant died in 1762 and not born in 1762).

    1. Re: Beebe inquiry
    2. Regarding the posted inquiry about Beebe family members, a Mr. Alan Henry has maintained a Beebe database for many years, and was very helpful with a question I had a few years ago. His database now includes 56,700 names of members of Beebe's, their descendants, and spouses. His current URL is < http://members.accesstoledo.com/alanhenry/>. In conjunction with Norma Nicholson, "The Beebe Connection" is said to be published three times a year. A Google search turns up a number of other Beebe groups as well.

    3. In CT, after spending the last 4 years visiting cemeteries in Middletown, Portland, CT and Columbus, OH, the brownstone ones I saw the first year, some are dramatically worse. Water gets in a crack and a little bit of freeze and it breaks the stone. In Columbus, I found that they choose burial and a note of burial in the paper as an obituary cost money. Then they went without the stone. Some stones are missing especially the older stones or have lichen damage. I also found one guy with three wives around him. The 3rd wife outlived him and magically there is no stone about the other 2 women but one with him and her. The 1st and 2nd wives are still in the ground next to the husband that out lived them, they had died not divorced him. Mostly poverty in my family has cause them to have no gravestones. Tracy

    3. It was a ... Big bound book. Some of the trees in there were hand written. It was written by a guy. Some of the Bishops in the Redfield tree and Fields I got there. I don't remember it as the Redfield book. It was something like 3.5 inches thick. Sorry, I went thru my brother in law's tree and looked for the notation and I didn't write it down. I just know where the book is. And the book is a light grey color. I just put the three REDFIELD photos from Ray on line. These are from Killingworth. If anyone is looking for ancestors in New Haven, CT, I just finished transcribing the A-D graves and they're now on the site. The last time FreeFind spidered the site it went through more than 2200 files - about 90 of those are my descendant reports and probably another 30 to 40 are indexes and such like, but there's an awful lot of data there for the New England states, NY & MI..
