Does anyone on the list know if there is information available for persons who were teachers in Fairfield County in years past? Also, is there a similar source of information for persons who were teachers in New York state ? I am searching for a relative, Mr. Ferris STEVENS, who reportedly was teaching in the Black Rock, CT school in 1961. In 1962, according to his mother's obit, Ferris was teaching in Katonah (Westchester County), NY. All known schools in Katonah were contacted but none could find any record of Mr. Stevens having been a teacher there; one school, however, The Harvey School, suffered a fire which destroyed many of their records and they could provide no answer pertaining to Mr. Stevens.
