I would look for land records to see if you can trace Enos' movements, which might lead you to where he (and perhaps his parents) were living when he first purchased property. Since his wife was born in New Jersey, his family may have moved there before he reached adulthood. With this in mind, try searching probate records for Sussex County and then adjacent counties for all Booths in an appropriate time frame. Since it appears he had a son named Richmond Booth, there was probably a connection to a family of the name Richmond. You might try searching land and probate records for this family as well, hoping to find a connection. At this point without any idea where in Connecticut he was born, even if you found an Enos Booth born about 1810 somewhere in Connecticut, you wouldn't know if it was the correct one. Start with New Jersey records and work your way back. Good luck.
