Dear Listers, About 1800 or so, there was quite a large group of families who emigrated from Fairfield Co., CT. to the Walton, Delaware Co., NYS. area. Many were from Ridgefield and Fairfield town environs [ and were often inter-related,of course]. What I am asking is this: Are there on-line or written resources where details are given for this exodus and the involved families? I have several families in this group whose surnames I know--EVERETT,BENEDICT; EELLS , St.JOHNS are four. But,I am trying to add information on these and other families and to locate a Harriet M. [--------] EVERETT who was born in CT. but probably was a daughter of one family in this group, married about 1845 or 1846 to a George A. EVERETT in Delaware County, NYS. In 1846, they had a daughter, Eliza/ Elizabeth /Harriet EVERETT and in 1850, in Sidney,Del.Co.,NYS--a male child- later identified as Thomas Benjamin EVERETT. Help would be appreciated.
