NJ death certificate lists birthplace as CT and states he was 87 years 10 months at time of death, Aug. 23, 1903. Therefore, he was born Oct/Nov 1815. Have found five Lacy families in Fairfield Co on 1820 census with male children under 10 years old, i.e. born between 1810-1820. They are: Jesse in Weston, Fairfield Co., one; Darius, in New Fairfield, Fairfield Co., one; Manson in New Fairfield, Fairfield Co., one; Benjamin, in Fairfield, Fairfield Co., one; Michael in Fairfield, Fairfield Co., one. One other quirk…current family and two generations back uses “Somers” as middle name although death certificate spells it “Summers”. Is there a kind genealogical soul out there who can check local records to see if a Daniel Somers (or Summers) Lacy was born ca. 1815 to one of these families?
