NY) d. Jan. 21, 1886 in Sussex Co., NJ. He is buried in Glenwood Cemetery, Vernon Twp, NJ. The grave site is where the birth & death date were found. He married Amanda Arvis and had Charles Arvis Crissey who after the Civil War married Catherine Baxter lived the rest of his life in Warwick NY working in a bank. The rest of the chlidren of John & Amanda were George Clark(married Lucinda King in Huron Co., Ohio), Emily V. (died young), Lydia (married twice, Cyrus Bennett, second Jesse Martin), Edward A Crissey, Florence A (married James Martin), Anna Laura (married Clarence Valentine and lived the rest of her life in NY) and Nelson who married Rose Stickney daughter Charles & Louisa (Dennis) Stickney.
