I have gotten my fairshare of free-bees from the Knapps and would be more than happy to return the favor. I have learned a great deal about CT Knapps. I will need more information than what you have provided to even start guessing. Locations are important. There were probably 500 or more Knapp descendents of the Nic Knapp line alone by the R-War. Believe it or not Israel was a popular name at that time. Do you think yours were from CT? Yes, that gap is huge. It is more than the average life expentancy at that time. However, John Mesnard and Mary Knapp had two children when they were in their 40s. It was very strange the had children before and after the R-War but none during. I suppose it was the stress. The Mesnards lived in the area that was fairly lawless and raided by the British and robbed by others.
