He was born in 1828 in Bradford county Pa. I also am having trouble getting any info on my father side due to the spelling of the name. My grandfather was William Northrop but when my father was born my grandmother spelled his last name Northrup. I haven't been able to go any futher then Ira Northrup. Maybe we can help each other.
