I only know that my second great-grandmother, Sarah Ann Brown, daughter of William Brown (1784-1873 from gravestone), wrote a poem about "Uncle Jonathan's" geese. As she did not have an Uncle Jonathan on her mother's side, I presumed that my brick-wall William Brown must have had a brother of that name. What years do you have for Jonathan? Do you have any siblings for him? Parents? Have always thought perhaps they lived near the Vermont border, but have not been able to locate anything to confirm that. Hope to hear details from you.
