The Bridgeport City Directories do not end in 1939. There is a 1940, 1941 and during the war years they doubled up with a single volume for 1942-43, 1944-45 and then resumed its regular yearly directories up through 1991 with some gaps. Were these people you are looking for living in bridgeport at that time that they died. Are you also looking for any obits.
