    1. Re: [CTFAIRFI] Marriage Certificates
    2. Hi, I wrote to the City of Bridgeport, each town is different. I wrote on 9/26/00 asking for Birth records for my ggmother, and gggmother's. I sent the dates, names, and they responded on October 24, 2000. They returned my check, after not being able to find the records. They said the oldest birth record was made in the year 1847, death was 1885, and marriage is 1883. So, one was not listed, and they did a five years search for the one that I thought was in 1863, and came up with nothing. I have some Monroe records, and they start at 1848. You are better off requesting records from the town or city first. Records are $5.00, and you have to send a copy of your driver's license, copy of your birth record, full name and date, and the parents names if possible and a self addressed, stamped envelope.
