Evelyn, Thank you so much for that information because that was where I decided to look next, but I was wondering if they were destroyed in the fire also. I have Simeon's DOB from his tombstone in Swanton, but need to prove his parentage. I thought I would try to find the vital records first. I can't tell you how happy I am to know that the probate records were not burned up. You made my day!! I go to the LDS FHC once a week. I don't know what I would do without them.
