Racaniello Victor J. Racaniello, a 48-year resident of Darien, died at his home here on November 5. He was 84 years old. Mr. Racaniello was born in Stamford on February 3, 1916, the son of the late Nicholas and Rosanna Racaniello. He graduated from Stamford High School and attended the University of Bridgeport School of Engineering. As a 36-year resident of Stamford before moving to Darien, Mr. Racaniello was a plant manager for Branson Instruments. Later, he was a part owner of Deluca Industrial Supply, was a purchasing agent for Technicon Corporation and was a freelance consultant until his death. He was a member of St. John's Roman Catholic Church, the Piedmont Club, Darien Boat Club, the AARP of Darien and was a former member of the Darien Lions Club. He is survived by his wife, Helen Stepien Racaniello; two sons: Victor J. Racaniello Jr., of Darien and John Racaniello of Norwalk; a daughter, Kathleen Hill of Palm Harbor, Florida; a brother, Ambrose Racaniello of Stamford; and four grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial was held yesterday at St. John's Roman Catholic Church in Darien and interment was at Spring Grove Cemetery in Darien. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be sent to St. John's Roman Catholic Church, 1986 Post Road, Darien CT 06820.
