Guerrere Edward A. Guerrere, 71, of Fairfield died Nov. 22 at St. Vincent's Medical Center. The husband of Constance Festa Guerrere, he was born in Norwalk and was a Fairfield resident since 1960. He was a retired employee of Sears Roebuck, having managed the customer service department in the Stamford store. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean conflict and was awarded the Silver Star. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars and of St. Anthony's Seniors and was a past president of St. Anthony's Holy Name Society. He was an avid fisherman. A semiprofessional basketball player, he held the Norwalk High School scoring record until it was broken by Calvin Murphy. In addition to his wife, he is survived by two sons, Edward "Ned" Guerrere and Robert J. Guerrere, both of Monroe; two daughters, Lisa Ferguson Garcia of Milford and Dee Dee Ferguson Morley of North Haven; two brothers, Francis "Fritz" Guerrere of Port Richie, Fla., and Thomas Guerrere of Clarendon, Vt.; a sister, Marion Rogers of Norwalk; six grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services took place Monday at the Edmund W. Dougiello Funeral Home and at St. Anthony of Padua Church in Fairfield. Interment with military honors followed in St. John Cemetery.
