Hi list, I hope you can help me. My grandmother Georgianna Murdoch was b. 2/1887 in Danbury, CT. Her grandfather was b. Scotland; her father was b. Canada. 1871 census shows her grandfather living in Dundas, Matilda Twp. Canada and his religion - Presbyterian. My question is - What church would have been in the area in 1887 that the family might have attended? Were their any Presbyterian churches there then? If not, where would a scottish family have gone? I know her father was of Scotch descent, I am not sure of her mother other than she was b. in Canada (name Emma West, Werte?) I know later Georgianna attended St. James Episcopal church.
