She was born in New London, the daughter of Frederick and Mattie DeWolf Howard, and was an area resident for the past 30 years. She is survived by two daughters, Ann Belluci of Glastonbury and Norma Bolles of Norwalk; a sister, Amy Hallencrutz of Newport, R.I.; 11 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Govett. Funeral services and interment were private. The Harding Funeral Home, 210 Post Road East, Westport, was in charge of the arrangements.
