She was born in Amesbury, Mass., and resided in Fairfield most of her life. She worked as a licensed practical nurse for over 30 years at the Carolton Chronic Convalescent Hospital. She is survived by her son, Mark Devore and his fiancee, Julie Gilman of West Palm Beach, Fla.; daughters, Elizabeth Mainiero and her husband, Michael, of Southbury, Linda Shephard and her husband, Richard, of Georgia, Deborah Clarke and her husband, James, of Trumbull and Donna Devore of Fairfield; her mother, Doris Fitts of Fairfield; her sister, Jeanine Anderson of Virginia; five grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial tomorrow at 10 a.m. at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the Redgate-Hennessy Funeral Home, Main Street and Gorham Place, Trumbull, today from 4 to 8 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 372 Danbury Road, Wilton 06897.
