No mention of marriage to Anna St. John. Donald Lines Jacobus, HISTORY AND GENEALOGY OF THE FAMILIES OF OLD FAIRFIELD, Vol. 1, 1932, states: "John, b. 3 Mar. 1675/6, d. at Norwalk, 16 Jan. 1766 in 90 yr. (g. s.); Deacon; Sergt.; m. (1) before 1705, Anna St. John, dau. of Mark, b. 8 Aug. 1674; m. (2) Mary (???), who d. 5 June 1749 ae. 72 (g. s.)." John Benedict" I have listed two children of John and Anna (St. John) Benedict -- John, b. 1701 and Matthew, b. Oct. 2, 1703; and four children of John and Mary (?Haite?)
