Beth, It's good to hear that someone else remembers Benedict's from the old days. My family moved to Monroe in 1952 and certainly by 1954 I was going with my father over to Benedict's to pick up seeds and chicken feed, I believe AGWAY was then known as Eastern Farmers Cooperative or something like that. Do you also remember the Big Y Feed Store over on Route 25? When the supermarket chain Big Y came out I thought they were one in the same, just switched from animals to humans. By the way, Bill Benedict's oldest son, daughter Jane and his wife still operate the store. Ed Hagerty
