I recall a wealthy family living in Darien, CT (as I did) named John Sherman Hoyt. This was in the 1920's / 1930's. I think they lived on Contentment Island. Darien adjoins, and was once part of, Stamford. I've seen your various posts several times so I suppose you know all about this. I once lived (1955-1964) at 17 Oak St. Stamford, one block from from Bedford & Hoyt Norm Valentine, Ambler, Pa.
