Trying to loacte any information on James M. ABBOTT, born June 1815, probably Barre. Family story has it that he ran away from Barre and went to New York. He lived in Oneida and Herkimer Counties in New York, working as a log driver in Wilmurt, Herkimer Co., NY. Most of his children were born in Forestport, Oneida Co., and he died there in about 1936 I don't know the names of his parents or siblings - basically I have no info other than James' name and birthdate, and that a brother was born in New Haven CT.
