The MWW then prospered in the area South of the Mason Dixon line. The prime goal of both Societies was Insurance, with the benefit of a Fraternal organization. There was over 12,000 Camps (Local Headquarters) in 1890, with these Camps becoming the Social centers of Towns and Communities through Social and Service functions. The Federal Government would advertise in theirNewsletters in order to reach the Maximum amount of citizens with information. There was well over a million members of these organizations in 1911.The I.O.F., International Order of Foresters is a similar organization based in Canada.Thereis Genealogical data to be obtained from theseOrganizations depending on the time frame.
