Hi List, I am having a real problem finding where my paternal grandparents were married. They were married Nov. 19, 1904. The bride (Georgianna Murdoch) was born in Danbury, CT (1887) grew up there, worked in the Lee Hat co. where she met The Groom (Byron Hopkins) was born in NY (his ancestors came from Carmel, Mahopac, NY) and Byron lived in Danbury for 70 years (About 1876) Now - Danbury, CT; Bethel, CT and Carmel, NY have "no record of marriage". She was 17 1/2 and he was 30. I think she may have been 4 months pregnant (had child born April 1905). Was there a happening, romantic place that they would have gone to to get married? Any thoughts or help on this matter would be most appreciated. It is starting to drive me buggy. Bonnie K.
