Hi Listers, Wow, what a wonderful response! Most of you thought Trinity was either Congregational or Episcopalian but it turns out there are two Trinity Churches in Fairfield and ONE of them is a Baptist church! For the benefit of those of you who live there, it is on N. Benson Rd and the other one is on Tunxis Hill Rd. I think I will try the Baptist one first. For those of you, who asked about the D. L. Jacobus book, I borrowed it via inter-library loan. I believe there are several volumes and the one I received is Vol. 2 (I think). I have a few pages of Smith, Jennings and Jessup names and I would be happy to check out what I do have. I am sure that libraries and historical societies in CT must have this book, as well as FHC's. If anyone can connect to Jehiel SMITH and Pene DAVIS, m. 24 Nov. 1768, I would love to hear from you. As always, I a quite happy to share my info and sources. Thank you all, so very much! It is fun to be on such a marvelous list. Margaret in NV
