    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: JONES, HOWES, BISHOP, CASE, LOCKWOOD, LEE, etc. Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TZ.2ADE/3369 Message Board Post: Seeking any and all info on any members of the following family (from Mead's Extracts of Church Records [Darien]): Asa Jones, from Darien to New Canaan. Joined Darien Church 28 May 1758. Children of Asa: Ephraim baptised 22 March 1758 * Josiah baptised 6 July 1760 Hannah baptised 28 Oct 1762 Asa baptised 24 Nov 1765 Rachel baptised 31 May 1767 Samuel baptised 31 Jul 1768 I believe the above children may have married, as follows: Ephraim Jones m1 Lydia Bishop and m2 Anne Bishop in CT. Rachel may have been the Rachel Jones who married Peter St. John in 1793 in Norwalk, CT. Asa Jones, son of Asa, above MAY have been the Asa Jones who married Lucy Case in 1787. Particulary interested in determining if the above *Josiah Jones is my gggg grandfather (husband of Betsey Howes, daughter of Prince Howes of Mayflower ancestry). Josiah Jones born circa 1759/60 near Stamford, married Betsey Howes in Canaan Parish (now New Canaan) in 1785 and moved to Salem, Westchester County, NY and Franklin, which is now Patterson, Dutchess (now Putnam) county, NY (where he died). I have reason to believe my Josiah Jones' father was named Asa, so I highly suspect this is the correct family above. Any idea where to find more records in these areas of Connecticut (and which types of records) that can help me find out more about this family? Any of these names ring some bells? Many thanks.
