Thought I had it all worked out until someone threw a wrench into it with info on my Elisha Fox and Sally Hedger. So now am following his thoughts and looking to to see who the direct ancestors of my Elisha are. It appears he could be the grandson of Johnathan (Jonathan) Fox 1713 and Mary Brockway, but everywhere I search I find no descendants for this couple. Also, looking at the possibilty that he could descend from Jonathan's brother Amos Fox and Deborah Minor, they did have an Elisha who married Kidder about 1780 and my Elisha was born 1779, marriage date could be off. Any chance you have a Jonathan Fox and Mary Brockway in your line?
