Sorry for the cross posting, but it does save me a heap of time. ;o) I've recently posted some reference cards on my website that may be useful to some of you. I print them of 4x6 cards and keep them right next to my PC. I use them many times daily. The page: http://dav4is.8m.com/Cards/ (This may be a bit slow in loading, so please be patient!) Summary of the contents: * Two letter standard postal codes for the US states and territories, and Canadian provinces and territories. * Three letter abbreviations for British Isles counties: Channel Isles, England, Ireland, Scotland, Ulster (N. Ireland), Wales. These are the pre-1974 codes, no longer in postal usage, but fine for genealogical work. * Ahnentafel facts and powers of two table. Shows why the numbering scheme is so useful. * Hex-to-Decimal and Decimal-to-hex conversions. Useful for working with the HTML color codes, etc. * Common paper sizes, both US and metric: names, dimensions, aspect ratios. I think I got 'em all! * Special characters. The codes you need to enter on your PC to get such things as English pounds (£), the Euro (), accented characters (éèÅ) -- if you don't have your keyboard set up to the specific national. These are the same numbers you use in HTML as, for example, "¶" to get the paragraph symbol "¶". I hope someone gets some use out of them! -- Regards, Rod Dav4is / P.O.
