Have not yet been able to get copies of original certificates. However, I am checking into a Waterman connection. To make a long story short, I found an Adolph Hope in these records and believe he *may* be the brother to my greatgrandfather's first wife. Adolph Hope (born 1860 New York City) married Mary Waterman (born abt. 1858 in Danbury, died 1903) in 1886 in Danbury, Fairfield County. Mary's parents: Ezra Waterman and Mary Haggerty, both of Danbury. They had at least 5 children: Adolph Jr. (1890-1902), Bertha (1892-1893), Mable (1894- ), Mathilde (1896- ), Lawrence (1898- ).
