She says that:..."my father and Mother were from Connecticut (possibly Fairfield Co.?), my mother's name was "Rebacah" Vaughan, she was born in the year 1760. Her mothers name was "Rebacah" Towner, my fathers name was Alexander Pennock. Grandpa died, grandma married "old Squire Benedict" she had two more Children, James and Merilla, she married a man by the name of Burton. I remember my great grandpa and grandma, they had a good deal of property, they were willing to help the needy so they were called good folks. I was born in Stratford, Orange co., vermont, Elizabeth Pennock, the youngest - I am the only one living of my Pa's family. She goes on to describe her family and more "connections." Elizabeth R. Pennock married James Carrolton Bunker in March 1811, in Aurelius, Cayuga County, NY. where her parents, Alexander and Rebecca Vaughan Pennock moved to when she was 9 years old. She was born in 1794, according to the letter. If any of this corresponds with your research, let's exchange information.
