Patience Coggeshall (I have no middle name listed for her, although her mother was Patience Throckmorton before she married Major John Coggeshall) was born in Newport, Rhode Island (not Connecticut) 8-13-1669. I'm not certain if there was ever a connection of them with Fairfield County, Connecticut. I'm a descendant of her oldest brother, Freegift Coggeshall, b Newport, RI, 3-1-1658. If we are of the same generation, that would make us 8th cousins. If you need information on the ancestors for both Major John and Patience Throckmorton, that information is contained in detail in a book written by my father, Robert W.
