My family record, which my great-grandfather compiled nearly a hundred years ago, lists his grandmother, Freelove Haley, born Freelove Pelham, as having been born in New Canaan, CT, around 1755. At some point the family relocated to Fishkill, Dutchess County, New York. Does anyone have any record of a Pelham family living in New Canaan during that time frame? Any neighboring town might be a possibility as well.
