This is what I have on the BURR ~ WAKEMAN ~ GOODYEAR ~ WARD surnames- Rev. Samuel WAKEMAN and Hannah GOODYEAR were my 9th great grandparents. John 3) BURR'S father Nathaniel 2) BURR md for his 2nd wife my 7th gr Grandmother, Hannah GOODYEAR the widow of Rev Samuel WAKEMAN, my 9th gr grandfather. John 3) BURR'S mother was Sarah 2) WARD, his father Nathaniel 2) BURR'S first wife. John 3) BURR'S mother Sarah 2) WARD, was the d/o Andrew 1) WARD and Esther/Hester SHERMAN - Sarah's sister Mary 2) WARD md John 2) BURR the brother of Nathaniel 2) BURR. William 2) WARD was the brother of Sarah 2) and Mary 2) WARD, the children of Andrew 1) WARD- William 2) WARD'S widow Esther (..) WARD md2) 1678 Ebenezer HAWLEY who died 1681 leaving 2 children William and Elizabeth HAWLEY - who md1) Capt Joseph WAKEMAN and md2) John 3) BURR... I have also found that Esther was William 2) WARD'S daughter - so I am not sure about if she was the widow or dau of William 2) WARD - do you know? John BURR'S wife was Elizabeth HAWLEY the d/o Ebenezer HAWLEY & Esther 2) WARD. Elizabeth was married first to my 8th gr grand uncle Captain Joseph WAKEMAN - they were parents of 9 children [see below] John BURR'S step mother was Hannah [GOODYEAR] WAKEMAN- BURR Elizabeth [HAWLEY] WAKEMAN'S 2nd husband John BURR'S step mother, was Elizabeth [HAWLEY] WAKEMANS mother-in-law. and around and around it goes... :~] IF your not confused by now - I don't know why, cuz I am~ Whew! Joseph WAKEMAN s/o Rev Samuel WAKEMAN & Hannah GOODYEAR b. 06 May 1679, Fairfield, CT, d. 18 August 1753, Fairfield, CT Will of Elizabeth Burr, widow, dated 28 June 1753, proved 27 Aug 1753. Elizabeth & Captain Joseph WAKEMAN had the following children all born Fairfield, Fairfield, Connecticut- they were my 1c9r - 1. Ebenezer b 1 Jan 1699 bp 12 Mar 1698/1699 2. Catherine bp 21 Apr 1700 3. Elizabeth bp 19 Apr 1702 4. Joseph bp 14 May 1704 5. Jabez bp 10 Mar 1705/1706 6. Samuel bp 30 Jan 1708/1709 7. Mary bp 23 July 1710 8. Samuel bp 1 Nov 1713 9.
