You can call them before you visit to find out what they have in their collection. Another resource for Bristol city directories is Ancestry.com. They have a transcription of the directories for 1882 to 1893. Old Directory Search http://olddirectorysearch.com/ also has a few city directories on-line, although not Bristol. Hope this helps.

I have that Mary GLOVER HAWLEY was born in 1738, just as you have, but I don't show her buried in Washington, LA. I thought she died in CT as did her husband, William HAWLEY. Did I miss something. My tombstone listings do not show a Mary GLOVER or HAWLEY buried in the Gardner-Hinckley Cemetery [I call it the Norton-Gardner-Hinckley Cemetery] in Washington, LA

I have found him in a Norwalk CN directory for the mid-1920's. He is listed as a gardener, living in Sasqua Hills with his wife Lillian A ERSELIUS. His name is given just as "Paul". Can anyone let me know where I can check city directories for Norwalk? Given his age, he might have died in Fairfield Co. Does the local genealogical society have cemetery records available? ?
