Clifford (1956). William was a son of George & Ellen (Driscoll) Clifford. Linda

He had lived in Redding and Easton and was married first to Lucretia Thorpe, daughter of Samuel. She died in June 1761 and he married, second, Elizabeth Canfield in April 1763. She seems to have sprung from the ground fully grown as I cannot find any info on her at all. Jonathan died in 1811 and Elizabeth in 1812. If anyone has any info they are willing to share I would be very grateful

I live in St. Louis, Missouri. I have to rely on the internet for most of my genealogy although my son went to college in New York City. Once after we took him back to New York in September we drove south through New Jersey to go to Tuckerton. I found the cemetary where Enoch and Juliette and their son George H (Henry- I am guessing) are buried. George was born May 12, 1878 and died May 7, 1946. He never married.

You didn't state - is this the same St. Mary's that's associated w/St. John's Cemetery? If so, I had good luck with locating records through St. John's for St. Mary's (looking for STURM family). The staff was very helpful, and while I didn't find all the info I had hoped for it was a big help. One thing they mentioned was that St. Mary's was used by several local parishes - if you know what parish your family was in you may want to start there. Also, if there's record of which funeral home was involved at the time of burial you may want to follow up with them - the staff of St. John's/St. Mary's told us that quite frequently (in that area, anyway) the funeral home might have family related info that the cemetery may not have on file. Good luck with your search! Tammy

I have not been able to find a death certificate yet. I wasn't sure of the correct spelling of his last name for the longest time because on the 1860 census its looks like its spelled Truisdale, and on his daughter Malinda's death record they spelled his name as Treinble, but most of the records show Treadwell so I figured that must be correct. Malinda married William Sharp and if you notice on the 1880 census they live next door to each other. On Malinda's death record it shows her mother's name as Mary Dieke. Who did Juliette married? I'm going back the the NJ Archives in March, I would love to find a death record for him or his wife. I will let you know if I find anything else.

His daughter, Juliette, is my line. She was born in New Jersey and as far as I know lived there her entire life. I was told that her mother's name was Mary Duke (Duch,Duck) and that she was born in New York. I can not figure out who the parents of Stephen W. Treadwell are. I have him living in New Jersey in 1850-he is single. I have also found him in New Jersey in 1860, 1870 and 1880. Thank you in advance for any information you can share.

Are there any suggestions for finding records in this cemetery? Thanks in advance

Usually they know of most of the cemeteries in the area. I also had luck talking to town clerks, if you get the right one. Good Luck in your research.

Ok...well here are their census records...I assume since you didn't mention them that you don't have census data for them... 1930 Stanley R Bouton, 30, POB CT, father's POB CT, mother's POB CT Jennie H, 22, CT Poland Poland Margaret H, 4yrs 8 mos, CT CT CT Stanley J, 2 yrs 3 mos, CT CT CT citation:Year: 1930; Census Place: Trumbull, Fairfield, Connecticut; Roll: 260; Page: 16B; Enumeration District: 217; Image: 489.0. As for the names (Stanley R and Stanley J) I think that the middle names are Raymond and James which they may have used to avoid confusion over their having the same first names ! I know this is pure guess work on my part but the decision is up to you..I'm just providing the info that I find that seems to match what you are looking for ! Now in the same 1930 census is the following... Stanley Bouton, 50, CT CT CT Nancy M, 50, CT CT CT Dorothy, 14, daughter, CT CT CT They have been married 20 years. Perhaps this ISN'T the Stanley and Nancy you are seeking (based on the ages) but it is a strange coincidence, and ages were often misreported. citation:Year: 1930; Census Place: Trumbull, Fairfield, Connecticut; Roll: 260; Page: 8B; Enumeration District: 217; Image: 473.0.
