Surnames: LOUDEN, LOWDEN, CARROLL, DYER, PRINDLE, FLANAGAN, KENNEDY Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TZ.2ADE/4931 Message Board Post: I've just received copies of an 1875 divorce decree for my gr. gr. grandparents obtained through the Fairfield County Superior Court. The intro/notation is as follows: Volume 3, John A. Lowden and Mary Jane Prindle were married 12/20/1865. John petitioned the Court [October 1875] When I received the papers, ALL references to Mary Jane Prindle were written as Mary E. Prindle. I'm also looking for a connection to a man named George Merritt who was a contemporary of both of them and from Greenwich. Is it common for the volume to have an error saying Mary JANE instead of Mary E.? If anyone has any experience or info regarding the above, I would much appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

Salmon drowned in Lake Erie on 14 Sept 1811 and I'm not aware of any burial place. There are other Solomon Knapp's that I am aware of but this is the only Salmon Knapp that I have come across. Thanks for your input! All input greatfully accepted! My wife and I spent two weeks in the Danbury area and found lots of our relatives in the area.

    2. Thinking I have some connection to Z. Hoyt et al, I scurried to my genealogy program to see what I could add. Couldn't find a darn thing there, but I did find this link to an interesting discussion about the gentleman: http://familytreemaker.genealogy.com/users/k/n/a/Frederick-H-Knapp/GENE5-0001. html Short version: Zerubabel Hoyt did not marry Hannah Knapp; she, in fact, may not have married anyone at all. Surnames: Knapp, Hoyt Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/TZ.2ADE/4842.2.1.1.1.3.2.1 Message Board Post: Hello, Lorinda, There certainly can't be too many people named Zerubbabel Hoyt, so I'm sure we have a match. Unfortunately, I have no proven documentation of my connection to this family. Most of what I "know" was given to me by another distant cousin researching that line, but he didn't include his sources. He may well have gotten it from yet another cousin, and so it goes. I included his data in my own genealogy with a notation that it wasn't proven, so I could work on proving or disproving it. I also hoped to find others researching the same lines so we could help each other in this search. And it worked! Here you are! Right now my computer is toast and in the shop for repairs. I'm using my husband's computer just to keep up with my email, because my genealogy isn't on it. I'll get in touch with you again after I'm operational. Thanks for contacting me.
