The father's name was John and I believe the mother's name was Marie. They had three children. Janet was the oldest and I think her younger sister's name was Jean. The youngest child was John. I don't know if they are related to the family you are looking for but it might be a place to start.

I will check with Cal Owen to see if he had some other sources for this info. Due to missing info I cannot pin down David's wives, Ellen, Clarissa, Sarah and Marcy. Cal has him married to Sarah Bryant also. The Sarah Bryant that I have is David's daughter Sarah who went to Monroe County and married a Bryant. I remain confused, which is I guess a normal condition for family researchers ? Bill S

Her name according to Jacobus in Families of Old Fairfield was Ellen not Eleanor. I don't know where I picked up the name Eleanor. It was either information I got before I became convinced about recording sources, or it was from what I considered as a possibly unreliable source. But I do know that I haven't used Cal Owens gedcom. I probably would have cited him if I did. Link: Charlotte's Web URL: <http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~cbrennan>

    1. [CTFAIRFI] Bridgeport Directories;PAVLOVSKY
    2. P. Pulasky
    3. Does anyone have access to Bridgeport City Directories? Or does a Bridgeport genealogical library have an email address? I have narrowed down the correct spelling of my grandfather-in-law's name to John PAVLOVSKY (finally), and need to have Bridgeport data on his family. I believe that they are listed in directories for 1890 and 1891, as well as up through 1903. The surname(s) to research are: PAVLOVSKY (especially with a first name of John) DLUGOS or DLUGAS VARGAS SULIK. This has been a difficult family to research; John Pavlovsky died in either 1903 or 1904. His body was moved from St. Augustines to a different cemetery, and the new cemetery has no record of any files on this individual. I do know that John Pavlovsky was a conductor for the New Haven Railroad, and that he died in an accident, but don't know if the accident was railroad-related. I've been trying to put together some family info on the Pavlovskys and allied families for a Christmas packet to share with my children and grandchildren, but have only a few facts so far. The deadline is almost here, and I am panicked. I would really appreciate any help on this. Thank you so much. Pat Pulasky

    1. Re: [CTFAIRFI] 1890 & 1900 census
    2. Dear Genealogical Friends, To the person who inquired about the 1890 Census for Danbury CT-------- The 1890 Federal Census burned up in a fire. There are only a few rolls of it left, and I don't believe any of those are for Fairfield County CT. There is no "100 year rule" that I am aware of. However, there is a 72 year restriction whereby no census information can be made available to the public until 72 years has passed. Thus all census data up to 1920 is now available. The 1930 Census will become available to all of us in March of 2002, only 15 months away !! The Federal Archives that I frequent at Laguna Niguel CA, has already brought in the empty film cabinets to store the microfilms for the 1930 census. Unfortunately, the 1930 census does not have a Soundex or Miracode index, so it will be line-by-line searching. However, the personnel at this Federal Archives has already purchased and brought in microfilms of 1928/1929/1930/1931 City Directories for many of the larger cities in the US to provide some level of assistance to 1930 Census researchers. We are already using these City Directory microfilms. Hope this is helpful information to you. Sincerely, George Hoyt E-Mail: GWGEHoyt@aol.com
