Annjenette/ Ann Jeanette was born 31 Jul 1811 in Greenwich ,Ct and died Aug. 9 1881. She married 1 Oct 1834 in Greenwich,CT to a Silas LOUNSBERRY or LOUNSBURY born 21 Jan 1814 in Westchester , N.Y. and died 12 April 1877 in Greenwich, Ct. His occupation was a Dentist. From what I know he moved from Ct to New york and continued his practice there but then I guess he came back to Ct where he stayed until he died. Any help with this family would be appreciated. I have the Silas information. It is his wife's and her parents I am seeking.
Both of these families are listed in the History of Fairfield, Fairfield County, Connecticut, 1639-1818, by Elizabeth Schenck. Did you need a look-up? Will do it gladly. Vickie
Hi, I recently found a gravesite for one of my g.g. grandparents. At the base of the tombstone was a metal medallion of sorts stuck into the ground with the initials "OUAM". A friend of mine tells me it stands for Order of United American Mechanics I believe. Does anyone have any info on this? They lived in Norwalk.....any Norwalk specific info on this? Thank You, Sara

The Fraternal Order of Eagles has a website. Perhaps you could contact them http://www.foegrandaerie.org/
<<Question: what do you mean by a yearly book? If someone was a member in 1920, there will be a book listing them?>> No, it is more like an annual listing of all of the organizations in the country. You'd be amazed at how many there are out there! It gives the "real name" of the organization, the officers, the location of the central office, and the person to contact for information. For instance, I wrote to the national secretary of the IOOF and he sent my letter directly to the IOOF Librarian for CT who has the records and the history of the organization in CT. He was able to find a number of Hubbells who belonged to the organization, as well as mine, and he was very helpful. Carol Hubbell Boggs
